Reconciliation

In the spirit of our journey to reconciliation, we would like to honour the truth of our shared history and acknowledge that our service region is located on the traditional territory of the Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations, comprised of the Ojibwe, the Odawa, and the Potawatomie. For those of us in Leamington, we acknowledge the traditional territory of the Caldwell First Nation. We are grateful for the opportunity to live and work here and are thankful for the generations of people who have taken care of this land for thousands of years.

Terminals

We work with a wide variety of industries & users

Port Windsor is the third largest Canadian Great Lakes port in terms of shipments. Cargos include a wide range of products such as aggregates, salt, grains, steel, and petroleum. Over the past decade, shipments of goods through the Port increased from 4.2 million tonnes to 5.0 million tonnes. Growth has paralleled the buoyant Windsor and mid-west U.S. economies.

About Port Windsor

The Windsor-Essex area is one of North America’s most efficient locations for transportation and communications. The region enjoys direct access to the air, rail, and trucking transportation networks linking Canadian and US markets. Experienced bonded agents, customs brokers, warehousing and freight handlers ensure the easy movement of all types of goods both in and out of the country. Windsor-Essex is the western terminus of Highway 401 which provides east-west access throughout southern Ontario and Quebec. The Ambassador Bridge and the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel link the Port of Windsor with major highways in the United States. There are over thirty major trucking firms located in Windsor-Essex alone. The Essex Terminal Railway (ETR) operates in the Port of Windsor with rail connections to the Canadian National, Canadian Pacific and Norfolk and Western.
